Position Overview:
As a Senior Tax Manager, your role will be essential in ensuring that our firm meets its commitments to business tax clients with accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. You will work closely with our CPA to prepare business tax returns, manage communications, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Your expertise in tax laws will help with tax planning and advising, and you'll play a key role in driving the firm's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare complex business tax returns, conducting thorough financial statement reviews and analysis.
Stay up-to-date with current federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to provide top-tier service.
Collect relevant financial records to complete tax filings accurately and on time.
Maintain comprehensive records of data, tax returns, accounts, and other relevant information.
Represent business clients with tax agencies as necessary.
Address inquiries about tax filings, compliance, and planning in a timely and professional manner.
Lead effective communications, delivering personalized service and fostering strong, lasting relationships.
Collaborate with the CPA to develop tailored tax strategies and plans to meet each business's unique needs.
Ideal Candidate:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
6-8 years of experience in tax preparation, tax strategy, and business tax management.
At least 5 years of experience in preparing business tax returns.
Superior organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a strong ability to build relationships.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Redtail/CRM is a plus.
