Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Grand Island, NE
Salary: $80K-$100K (negotiable based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning for our organization, ensuring adherence to tax regulations while optimizing tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Conduct research on tax legislation and analyze its impact on the organization.
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responses to inquiries.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff on tax-related issues and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or related field.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
CPA certification is preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in tax software (CCH, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
