Role: IT Systems Administrator
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services. You will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's technology needs, enhancing security measures, and optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities
System Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance and security.
User Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Security Implementation: Implement security protocols, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and Microsoft Defender to protect company data.
Backup & Recovery: Manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability; perform regular tests of recovery processes.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
Updates & Patching: Regularly update software and apply patches to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
Training & Support: Provide technical support to end-users; develop training materials to help staff effectively use technology tools.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT Systems Manager to implement projects and improve overall IT infrastructure.
Qualifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN) and protocols (TCP/IP).
Understanding of system security principles and best practices.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
