What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include:
-Providing technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 5-8 engineers with .NET back-end involved leadership.
-Managing KPI metrics, technical quality, and providing data to stakeholders.
-Guiding your team and maintain our back-end systems in compliance with technical designs
-Building a strong product and engineering culture with your excellent communication skills.
-To be successful on delivering often, you need be knowledgeable of micro-services architecture and CI/CD processes.
-Managing the quality aspect of our delivery process, helping to increase speed of change where is needed, while keeping quality under control.
-Management of your team through JIRA using Agile methodologies, and to track and communicate progress using specialized frameworks like Maturity Frameworks, SWOT Analysis, Balanced Scorecard, Gantt Charts.
-Be hands-on in some situations, including but not limited to technical code reviews (.NET), verifying the work from your team
-Partner with our IT Security Team to maintaining a solid posture in our security practices and enforce across the application source code.
-Use your understanding of PCI compliance needs, and lead the team to make the source code compliant.
-Suggest ideas to support the vision.
-Ensure delivery processes are efficient and cost effective.
-Lead the week planning and touch-point calls to help the team stay focus.
-Define, develop and manage implementation plans, and release schedule.
-Lead retrospective meetings so that the team can learn and improve the delivery process.
-Continuously look to automate manual practices to help build efficiencies overtime.
-Collaborate with other Leaders to achieve 99.99% uptime of our e-commerce applications.
-Work with DevOps to communicate and plan accordingly changes needed by your team.
-Provide training and learning opportunities for the team.
-Collaborate with other security teams in the organization and outside of the organization to strengthen the security posture.
What You Need for this Position
-At least 1 year experience working as a .NET back-end Technical Leader/Development Manager and experience managing team members on a hybrid environment (on-site and remote).
-BS Degree and MS is preferred in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred
-Microsoft Azure Administrator certification is preferred
-Solid experience and hands-on skills with most or all of:
- .NET and Microsoft Technologies
- Restful APIs and Micro-services Architecture
- SQL Server
- SumoLogic, New Relic, Sentry
