Title: Industrial Electromechanical Technician - Food/Packaging
Location: Edison, New Jersey - ON SITE
Hourly: $85,000-$100,000 + Quarterly and Yearly Bonus
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 2PM-10PM
What You Will Be Doing
Follow the preventative maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance on all production machinery, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and control issues and providing efficient, timely solutions. PM includes: inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and ensuring proper functionality of all machinery/equipment.
Maintaining Equipment: Diagnose and maintain operational equipment status through use of the Work Orders.
Electrical Systems: high voltage 480V cabinets, motors, pumps and low voltage 110V (Working knowledge of PLC's a plus).
Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean work location, tools, and a clean up after repairs.
Repair or replace malfunctioning mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control components or systems, ensuring equipment is operating properly.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills (Troubleshooting) to identify and quickly resolve issues to minimize downtime and improve overall process efficiency.
Daily inspection to maintain equipment functionality, ensuring uninterrupted production and minimal delays.
Proactive approach to maintenance to ensure that corrective measures are implemented before they escalate into significant problems.
Disassemble, evaluate, repair, and rebuild equipment and machinery as necessary, and order new parts as required.
Assist in the overall facilities planning process and help manage parts inventory.
Close teamwork with the production and operations teams to review schedules and assist with optimal production schedule.
What You Need for this Position
A minimum of 3-4 years of mechanical experience, and electrical skills are strongly desired as well.
Trade school / high school diploma is preferred.
Proficiency in selecting, using, and safely handling tools and equipment.
Basic working knowledge of mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and some use of geometry and trigonometry.
Troubleshooting.
Preventative maintenance and repairs.
Experience in machine operation.
