Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: State College, PA
Salary: $85K - $110K
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / 5+ years working manufacturing / Strong supervisory and leadership experience / Strong understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling / Project Management skills / Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and CAD platforms
What Will You Be Doing:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Establish clear goals, roles, and responsibilities for Team members, aligning them with broader organizational objectives.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee resource allocation, project prioritization, and risk management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
- Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators.
- Provide technical training and support to product staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including those of the EPA and OSHA.
